A walk in the garden

Spring has Sprung and so I thought I would take you for a walk in the garden amongst the trees and shrubs (and weeds).
Strawberries nearly ready to eat
Yum, blueberries

My poor, long suffering Jacaranda that has taken 12 years to flower.

The white Jacaranda is ready to flower.
The orange flowers of the Silky Oak.

The North Queensland Ice-Cream tree in bloom. It produces large seed pods that when scraped out and eaten, taste like vanilla ice-cream.

A little visitor – Rainbow Lorikeet
The cousin of the red flame tree (Brachychiton acerifolius) – Brachychiton Bidwilli (Little Kurrajoing)

My coffee bush. One year I gathered all the beans, roasted them slowly for hours, ground them and made a cup of coffee. It actually tasted OK.
