A little Celebration Giveaway

*** Competition Closed***
To celebrate 595 posts, and 4 followers shy of 1000, I will be giving one lucky blogger a chance to win a charm pack from the new collection – ‘Happy Go Lucky’ from Bonnie and Camille.
All you have to do is follow me (Stalk me. That is mandatory because I am desperate to reach 1000. It just seems like a really cool number to me.) and answer this question:
“Do you own anything Navy? If so, what is it?”
It seems Navy is the colour for 2013 and is slipping into a few designer collections. I am a big fan of Navy and am glad it has resurfaced. It will be the neutral for 2013.
Open to everyone. Winner will be announced 14th February 2013.

    I'm your follower 996! I been waiting, to be the 999 but….
Don't have anything navy, since fluo colors are all over here in Argentina. I don't own anything fluo neighter.. :=)

  • Adrianne

Ooh, I have seen a few sneak peeks of this collection and it looks super cute. I LOVE navy, and own quite a few navy clothes. In fact, I am wearing a navy blazer and a white and navy striped dress right now!

  • LynCC

I do follow you and keep you on my blogroll. 🙂 One of my current favorite sweaters is navy – nice and long with a fun cowl neck. 🙂

  • Jess

I'd be excited too! 1000 is an awesome number :o) I have a few navy bits of fabric, in an effort to get some darker blues in my stash!

  • Alyce @ Blossom Heart Quilts

The closest to navy I own is a pair of dark jeans! Haven't worn it since school really. And definitely nothing in the stash. But Happy Go lucky will change this as it's on my 2013 bulk buy list!

Oh and already a follower. Good luck!

  • Tracee

Already a follower, Congrats on nearly making 1000 mark I'm sure that will be done soon enough though. Mmmm Navy…I actually have a gorgeous navy top that I just love.

  • Fiona

almost there…. this is such a sweet collection…. navy…. yes I do use some…. it is not as harsh as jet black… so glad to see it being more popular…

I am a follower. Not a big fan of navy, I prefer black. I think it is more versatile. I do own a few navy sweaters. Hope you reach the 1000 mark.

I have a navy pea coat. I've been a follower/stalker since I found you, a year or so ago. I just looked 998 and counting, you're so close. GOOD LUCK!

  • tpott

  • Karen

Love navy and white together – so crisp and clean looking. I still have navy slacks in the wardrobe. Love the fabric in your gave away!

I follow you via GFC, and I subscribe.

What a great milestone, I can see you are up to 999 so only 1 more to go! I'm wearing my only navy piece of clothing today. I love sapphires, so I should have a lot of navy clothing, but I don't. Maybe we'll start seeing more in the shops as well?
In terms of fabric, I was only going through my stash on the weekend when I realised that I seriously need to work on my blue section! Here's to navy in 2013!!

  • Mallorie Anderson

I'm already a follower 🙂 In Navy I have a cute small dot print that my mom gave me when I started quilting (along with the rest of her quilting things she never used after the first top!)
Good luck on making 1000 you'll do it soon, Love following your blog.

  • DianeY

I follow you and I actually have a lot of navy clothing. I have 2 pairs of long pants, I cropped and one shorts. Also a blazer & numerous tops with predominate navy! I've always loved navy as a go-to color. Have some navy fabric as well!

  • Kathy @ Kwilty Pleasures

I am a happy follower. Navy…just so happens I received a quilt from my guild for being their president in 2012. It has some navy batiks. Watch for my post this coming Sunday to see it. Congrats on the milestone!!!!!

  • Christine M

Looks like you've reached your milestone. Your at 1001! Congratulations Jane! I'm a follower. I've been trying hard to think if I have any navy. The only think I can think of is I have a navy bra! LOL! Thanks for the lovely giveaway.

  • Mommarock

I have a quilt top that I pieced, and started to stitch, but it needs to be un-done and re-quilted..I think I need to fix a piece that has a hole in it as well as it has been in a box for a good 10 years.

  • Rachelle

I'm already a follower. I have a few things with navy in them, but nothing in solid navy. What I have is a skirt with navy and royal flowers, a jersey navy and royal and a shirt which is checked navy and green.

  • Deborah

I have been reading your blog for ages, but only just become a follower – sorry! I now follow you by email. I own lots of navy clothes – always the first colour I am drawn to at the shops!

  • Jacqueline

I have loved navy for the longest time and yes, I can see the shift to a navy palette in designs. I own a few navy Japanese prints for quilting and I am still collecting them. Congrats on your abundance followers

  • Kimme

I love that navy is an 'in' colour again, hopefully that will mean a few more choices at the fabric stores. Having said that I have the most delicious navy blue cotton with white polka dots just waiting to be made into a fab dress for summer and some navy blue silk twill that I'm vacillating between a shirt dress or a top? Haven't made up my mind. Thanks for the lovely giveaway and I have been a follower for awhile now.

  • SewLindaAnn

I'm already a Follower, but when I signed in I saw that you had 1001 – so congrats! I don't have anything navy except fabric to sew with. I mostly have black, white and gray. I've started to throw in a few mixed colors, but not much.

  • Donna~~

I've a bunch of Navy prints (from about 30 years ago) that I planned to use in a quilt. So far the inspiration hasn't hit. And I own a long Navy dress coat that is out of date (and likely doesn't still fit). I'm already a follower too!

  • Hope

You're at 1001 followers as I type this 🙂 I don't have much in the way of Navy, just some clothing items and a little fabric. It is a great colour though, I'm happy to see it included in more fabric ranges.

  • scottylover

I follow you already! Congrats on all the posts and followers, too.

I don't own anything in navy that I can think of at the moment. I did have a pair of navy pants, but they no longer fit and I just couldn't find any tops that I liked with them anyway. 🙂

    Sandy A

  • Staci

I'm following! And look at that! Right now it reads 1001!
I love navy and always have clothes that color. Right now I have 4 shirts in my closet.

You know I am your most devoted stalker 😉 congratulations on reaching 1000 followers!

I have the most lovely navy cardigan that I bought last October. It's one of my favourite wardrobe items, although it's far too hot to wear it atm!

  • Tracey @ The Peony Teacup

You know I am your most devoted stalker 😉 congratulations on reaching 1000 followers!

I have the most lovely navy cardigan that I bought last October. It's one of my favourite wardrobe items, although it's far too hot to wear it atm!

  • Rochelle Buckley

A HUGE CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS on the followers and the posts! What an achievement 🙂
I was going to say to you, "No, I don't have a single thing that is navy but as I sit here, I realise that I am wearing a navy blouse. It's sort of in a Kaftan style but it is sheer fabric and it has violets and daisies printed on it. I have always thought it a very old fashioned print (I've owned it about 5 years now) but it has always been comfortable and easy to care for and has lasted me some time. Unlike most of my other clothing 😉

  • Tess

Congratulations on the bloggy achievement!! It was really hard to find something navy that I own (I did think of my husband, who's perpetually dressed in navy work clothes, but that's not really PC, is it? lol). And I finally realised that my sewing journal has a navy cover, tucked inside the fabric cover!

  • Sue

No, none, navy is not a colour I have in my wardrobe, there are some charm squares from swaps that is the closest I get to navy in my stash.
    Yes I follow you Jane

  • Carmel Morris

I love navy, I can't get enough of it – particularly in clothing. I am sick of black, grey, brown, beige, blah! Bring it on! My favourite t-shirt at the moment is a navy one, though I'm not really fond of the sleeves on it. I love the cute pin-dot in this range.

  • Fran

I'm an existing follower so while I'm not adding to your stats I'm sure you'll get to the magic number without me. I have a navy shirt & an older much loved t-shirt that was navy originally but is now quite faded (still good though!). Congratulations!

  • Kelli

I am a long time follower.. congrats on reaching 1002! 🙂 I don't think I have much fabric in navy, but I def. have lots of navy in my closet. I have always loved wearing navy, and my favorite pair of heels are navy. *swoon* 🙂 Thanks for the sweet giveaway. Fingers crossed. xo

  • Just Sew Sue

    1003 and rising.

emeraldd is the Pantone colour of 2013 and I guess it goes very well with navy. I used to wear a lot of navy for work but now it's more likely to be denim and pink or purple.

  • Sunnybec

Well Done! I see you are now at 1003. I already follow you so wouldn't have been much help. I have a navy blazer that I like to wear with white tee shirt and blue jeans, sort of smart casual. Linda x

  • JaneB

In my "real life" I am a lawyer and I occasionally have to make an appearance in Court and so I have a beautiful Navy Blue suit. I save it for court dates because I don't like to spend money on dry cleaning.

  • Kate R

Yay! You've now hit 1000. Well done! Quite an achievement 🙂 Thanks for the celebratory giveaway! I have a couple of navy things in my wardrobe – coats/jackets mainly. I also just finished a quilt top that has a lot of navy. Love it 🙂

  • Catskill Quilter

I don't have anything navy – and I think it is because given a choice, I always pick black rather than navy (and maybe I just do not really like navy!). I just looked at your followers (and I am one, of course!) and saw that right now you have 1003! Congrats!

  • Florence

I have lot of "navy sweater", in comfort wool, I like it ! and , of course, several jeans !

  • Deb

I've been a follower for quite sometime, love your blog. I have a lot of navy, slack, shirts, shoes…it's one of my favorite colors – but I definitely need a quilt with navy, don't have many of those.

  • Jeneta

I'm one of your avid followers Jane! I think about a quarter of my wardrobe is navy! I will now think twice before buying any more navy clothes!!

  • Quilt Kitty

1010 is a whopping great number – Congratulations Jane! Oh I have some not so lovely navy pieces in the back of my wardrobe from my corporate days – suits with the jacket, dress, skirt & trousers for those days I needed a rest from basic black. I'm sure we can make navy look a whole lot more exciting in our quilts. Love B & C, thanks for the chance. Tracee xx

  • usagypsy

Yep, my husband, he was in the Navy for several years 😉 Sorry, couldn't resist that! I actually don't have too many navy clothes. Have a sweater that's navy. And of course my jeans which I seem to live in. A tank or two and maybe a print top with navy in it. But of course my biggest commitment to navy is still the hubby 🙂 And oh yes, I'm one of those stalkers too.

  • Christi

I love Navy and am super excited it is coming back. I have a navy Peacoat and several navy sweaters. I am thinking about my fabric stash :), but I don't think that I own much fabric that is navy. Am shopping for a new chair for our living room and a chair that I fell in love with was navy and had off-white piping. Really classy! I know that you will reach 1000…I was already a follower!

I will become a new follower for you. I hope to see you reach your goal and am sure by the end of this weekend you will surpass this figure. Yes, I actually have 2 different shades of navy fabric. I have never use this as it is just a yard each. But, I am sure that there is a quilt pattern calling for this navy fabric this year. Thank you for giving all of your followers a chance to win. Go navy.

I have lots of Navy shirts, but nothing else. Very excited now that I know Navy is a fashion forward color this year!

  • Mom C

I used to wear tons of navy, its still my favorite color, but most of my clothes are black or red now. Although I did shop for some tops last week and everyone is a shade of blue, including 2 with navy backgrounds. My quilt for Melissa's starburst quilt a long has a mostly navy center for all the stars. Thanks.

  • SandyN

I am a "happy" follower… LOVE your store as well.

The only navy item I own is my navy shoes.. and maybe a navy t-shirt.

Now I must make a navy quilt.

    Sandyn

  • Terri Mosier

I am wearing a navy blue hoody right now, so yes I own something navy! My winter coat is also navy, I love the color and have had it for years! I am so awaiting this Happy go Lucky line to come out, I want to win this so so so SO bad! Thanks for the chance, I follow you! Good luck on reaching 1000, I will for sure to tell all my quiltin buddies! Thanks 🙂

  • Rene Sharp

I don't actually own anything navy, besides a denim jacket, but I don't think that applies. As a mom of 3 boys you would think I would have more navy in my life. Something to remedy in the year to come 😉 Smiles from South Africa!!

  • Ms. C

I wear less navy now than many years ago when I wore suits, but do wear navy corduroy pants at least once a week. My classroom is on the cool side, and washable cords keep me warm. They do pick up stray threads when I'm sewing, though!

  • Angela Gibson

I have a Navy suit, but other than that not too much. There is some navy in the quilt on my bed, but just a little. I love the color, I just do not own much of it. Congratulations 🙂

  • Kandy Newton

I wear lots of navy clothes as basic black doesn't suit me, but funnily enough I never think to use it in my quilts – maybe I should. Thanks for giving us the chance to win some fabric.

  • Kandy Newton

I own lots of navy clothes, but funnily enough never use it in my quilts – maybe I ought to as it's a great colour. Thank you for giving us the chance to win some fabric.

  • Suze

I love navy. I used to have lots of navy clothes when I worked. I use navy in quilts, too. I think navy looks outstanding with many colors and especially with reds. It looks great with lots of other colors, too, if I just stop to think about it. I'm glad to hear you say that it is the neutral for 2013. That's makes me very happy. Maybe I need to think about more navy clothes, too! That way navy threads wouldn't show on my clothes. You are generous with your giveaway. I am enjoying reading your blog and great ideas.
