To Market, To Market and Back again

Nov 1, 2012 by quiltjane 9 Comments

After a whirlwind visit to my first market, I have returned full of wonderful memories and inspiration. I met the most delightful people, had little sleep and revelled in all the gorgeous new fabrics ready to hit the streets.

Still very exhausted, I thought I would share with you a collection of photos. I am not the best photographer, especially using and iPhone/ipad and bad lighting.

One of the many highlights of the market was getting to meet Pat Sloan. Stay tuned because you may hear a familiar Aussie voice on her radio show soon.

It was wonderful meeting the other contributors to the Sweet Celebration book and participating in the book signings and schoolhouse presentation.

I had a brief chance to wander through the international quilt exhibition. Wow, breathtaking!

I will be definitely booking for 2013! Can’t wait to see all the lovely and talented people again that make up one of the most enjoyable industries in the world.

Haha, I feel like that's what the Quilt Show was to me. Every day that I ditched the booth and ran through the show, but didn't really soak up that much. Next year, an extra day to actually look at everything! Great wrapup. I might have to steal the picture of me asleep…
