The Scary Pumpkin

It’s Halloween and we are about to go trick or treating around the neighbourhood. To get in the spirit of  Halloween I decided to sketch a scary pumpkin with a Pentel gel fabric pen and fill it in with thread.

The pumpkin was quilted with Aurifil #5512 40wt variegated polyester thread.

Last year I made the ‘Too scary, Mary’ pillow using the same technique.

I love the Pentel Gel Roller Fabric Pens. They glide on the fabric without bleeding and they don’t fade on washing. They come in red, blue and black only and can be purchased through some quilting shops and newsagents or stationery suppliers.
