April Giveaway

Autumn has started in Brisbane and the nights are cooler and the days warm. To celebrate the Autumn I will be giving away 12 FQ’s of Gypsy by Westminister Fabrics.

All you have to do to enter is tell me –  where you would go if you were a Gyspy and could travel anywhere.
Don’t forget to leave me some way of contacting you. Following me is not compulsory but I must admit I like being Blog Stalked. You never know, one day I might blog about something that may be useful.

The giveaway will run until the end of April.

Good luck!

Golly, if I had my Casita Spirite Deluxe camper I would spend my time traveling all over the US and Canada. Visitinglittle towns and natural wonders.

  • Zegi

I have always wanted to be able to say I've visited every state in the US. Wouldn't it be awesome to go to a quilt shop in every one? I've had my eye on this line of fabric and would love to win. Thanks for the chance!

  • Natasha

If I were able to travel anywhere I would backpack through Europe! I think I would just love that…esp the food!
    don(dot)natasha(at)gmail(dot)com

  • Narelle

I'd head off around Australia seeking out all the quilt shops and visiting bloggy friends along the way…with my camera of course.
    Oh what a lovely thought!

  • Samelia's Mum

Wonderful giveaway. If I were a gypsy I love to travel around Europe in the spring and summertime. I'd like to be a modern day gypsy though – traveling in a nice big air-conditioned caravan.

  • Nancy

If I could travel anywhere I would continue to work on my bucket list. I'd start in Provence in time to see the lavender and sunflowers. Then on to Brussels, Nova Scotia, Alaska…

  • Alisa

Well, I've always wanted to go to Spain. I have to say however that I had the opportunity to visit your beautiful country once and I would love to go back with my son someday. He (and I) would love it. It's quite beautiful and I had such a lovely experience there. Thank you for the give-away chance.

  • Katrina

I would try my hand at Europe since there is so much there I have not seen yet. I don't know if I could ever truly be a gypsy. Can you still sleep in hotels???

  • Karen Wilson

    OOoo Pick me! Pick me!
Where would I travel to? Well the nature of being a gypsy is more about the journey rather than the destination and that's what I'd do, just go where ever the road takes me!

  • Stitched With Prayer

Okay, if I could go anywhere in the world that I wanted, very honestly, I would go to Australia. I have completely fallen in love with the quilt/stitchery designs and the people who design them. Here in the US, we are sorely lacking for those kinds of patterns and designs. From there, I would travel to Scotland to see the land of my husbands ancestors, then to Denmark to see where my ancestors were from. Thanks for a chance in your wonderful giveaway.

  • Beth

hummm do we get extra points if we are a gypsy? I have lived all over the US, (never more than 3 yrs in any house) and I am currently living in S. Africa. We plan to send a few years fulltiming in our RV when we get back to the US and try and decide where we will retire and build. The fabrics look like lots of fun!

  • Jessica

If I was limited to a caravan I would go to Victoria, do Daylesford and the Great Ocean Rd and shop in Melbourne!
If I can fly I will go to Canada and travel from the west to east, all the way across!

  • Sunnybec

Canada, USA, Australia and see all my blog friends and visit some quilt shops. I love reading what others want to do. I was born in UK and have done the caravaning around England, Scotland and Wales. We have had holidays in Europe and now live in France, it seems we all want to travel further these days.

  • Maryse

Traveling makes you appreciate our daily life!So I'd go to Hawaii first it bring closer to outdoor life then I'd go to my homeland, never been yet I know our family started in the south of France.Who were these people who began in France then decided to travel to Canada?Exciting…thanks for the opportunity to win

Then I would move on to Australia, Brazil, Greece. Wow that would be so much fun! Beautiful fabrics – super nice giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

    So many choices…

As a kid I wanted to explore every nook & cranny of the world; that still holds true.

Hiking & rock climbing in Italy with my sister & our men would be wonderful.

  • annmarie

If I were a gypsy (and had money!) I'd find my way to Greece via every country on the way. Great question – fun reading all the answers. Great giveaway – thanks.

  • Stray Stitches

If I could travel anywhere I think I would meander around the good ol' USA and up into Canada. There are so many places that I would love to see and haven't had the chance to yet. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!

  • Quiltin' Sandy

I would love to have a little caravan and travel all over Ireland, Scotland and Wales!
The fabric is very pretty. I am a follower of your blog. BTW I am having a giveaway this week on my blog too! ends Thurs at midnight.
Thanks for the chance to win this fabric. 🙂

  • SewLindaAnn

I have always wanted to drive across country to every state in the U.S. so that would be first. Then I would love to pretend I'm 30 years younger and back pack across Europe.

  • Carolyn

If I could go anywhere, it would be back to Australia. Actually if I could live anywhere besides the states, it would be Australia. I've been there once, and ADORED the people, the way of life…everything about it.

What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you for the chance. I AM a follower and will add this to my blog sidebar. 🙂

    Hugs from Texas!

  • Beeshebags

Would it be really tacky of me or sucky of me to say I'd like to visit every fabric shop in the world! Oh my, I'm glad this is only a fantasy, can you imagine how much my gypsy travelling would cost….coz you just have to buy something in each store right? lol Hugs Naomi

  • Kate R

These fabrics are wonderful! I hadn't come across this line before…

I have been away from Australia for just over 10 years and for me, the best version of travelling is going home. I was recently in Sydney for a couple of weeks and it pulls at my heartstrings like nowhere else. I've always wanted to drive the Great Ocean Road, so when I'm in Oz with more time, that would definitely go on the agenda.

Thanks for the great giveaway 🙂

  • Canadian Kristin

Oh my! If I were a Gypsy I would load my kids into the caravan and take off for Portugal, Spain, the Mediterranean…we'd stop in the markets of Istanbul, we would eat crepes in Paris… we would picnic on the banks of the Thames and eat gelato in Rome… or maybe I would just lay in a field of daisies and enjoy the sun on my face! Ahhh, daydreaming, a gift in itself!

Thanks for the chance to win this lovely Westminster fabric!

  • Happy Cottage Quilter

Maybe I'm less adventurous then some others, but I'd love to go to the mountains of North Carolina. It's so cool and refreshing there. There are so many places that I have not seen in my own country. That would be my first choice.

  • quiltma

If I were a gypsy I would love to go where the wind blows…..
I do so love just getting in the car and driving with no destination in mind. I have found some of the neatest places and things that way.

  • Needled Mom

We love to wander about in the car and have really covered much of the West and Central U.S., but I would love to see more of the East. There is so much history to be seen there.

Thanks for the opportunity to win the fabulous fabrics.

  • Karen

If I could travel anywhere, it would have to be all of Europe and I'd love to spend time in Australia. I love exploring new and exciting places. Thanks for the giveaway and a chance to win the beautiful fabric.

  • Carmen

What a great giveaway! If I was a gypsy…well I just spent 6 months gypsying around France and Germany…and I would do it again anytime…and Italy is high up on the list and the rest of the world, too…thank goodness that quilting is also possible by hand…and there are so many quilt shops along the way.

  • Snoodles

I would love to travel all around the US, and of course, pick up FQ from at least one shop in each state! LOL But this gypsy loves warm weather, so my travels would coincide with the warm season of each region! Thanks for the chance for the gorgeous fabrics!

I have traveled most of the US except for the East coast so I would really like to see that. Always love going to Canada. Would love to travel to Norway and Ireland since that is where my ancestors are from. One of my daughters went to France and thoroughly loved it. I doubt if I ever get the chance to do that kind of traveling but we do watch lots of travel channels on TV and get to see some of the countries that way. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway…the fabrics are wonderful.

  • Vickie

If I could go anywhere, I would like to travel all over the US! I have been to a lot of places but still have a lot of places I would love to see! Thanks for a chance to win!

  • Deborah in Atlanta

Well, I was going to tell you all about my dream as a gypsy, but when I read Canadian Kristin's comment, I knew I wanted to be living in "her" gypsy caravan. She should be a writer! She wants to do all the same things I'd love to do.

  • Linda

I've never thought of being a gypsy, but if I had the chance, I'd do so caravaning across the outback. I've been to Oz several times and would love to return, starting in Brisbane, and heading west. You live in such a beautiful country.

Thanks for this giveaway and the chance to win. Cheers!

  • Brita

When I was young, my family always accused me of having Gypsy in my soul — I never lived anywhere for longer than 2 years! If I were to resume my old ways, I'd travel to the old country, Finland, and try to find relatives.

  • Celeste

First, I'd go to Italy to see one of my best friends that is a military wife. She loves it there. Then, I'd have to go to Great Britain. I've been kind of mesmerized with how different it is there. I just want to look at everything & maybe meet up with some of the Aspie bloggers I know.

  • Jo

First of all just wanted to tell you that your blog is great, and I do follow.
If I were able to travel anywhere I would get on my motorcycle and follow the sun. I would go from place to place as the weather changed and when I ran out of places in the US I would head for other countries and do the same! Thank goodness I have found out that most quilt shops are more than will to mail your fabric home for you when you are traveling this way!

  • scottylover

Wow, wonderful question! I'd love to travel all through Scotland and see all the sights, then go through England and Wales if I had time!

Thanks for a wonderful blog, I love stalking…I mean following you! 🙂

  • laobeau

Hmm, not sure if it too my comment so will try again. I would travel to Alaska and Hawaii, the only 2 states I have left to visit. Then on to Norway and Sweden, the land of my ancestors. From there, down under to visit a friend in Australia. Maybe by then the wanderlust will be settling!

  • Terry

Oh to be a gypsy. I would travel to Poland, Mongolia and Tibet. What a spiritual trip that would be. I will keep dreaming. Love the fabrics.

I would love to do some Island Hopping… I'd start off in Hawaii, then head over to Australia, and stop at many places in between to check out the fabric shops and beaches all over the world. Thanks for a chance to win your wonderful giveaway!

  • Sue

If I was able to travel anywhere, I'd start in London. Do the family history stuff and then head through the tunnel to France and go where the heart leads. At some point I would be in Turkey on ANZAC day – my English grandfather was a WW1 veteran.

If I was a gypsy I would travel to all the far reaches of the world where there are impoverished people and try and show them how to make useful and beautiful quilts from material they have available.I would take a camera and when I returned tr make a book from my travels to raise money the help them out.

  • mblittle5

Oh my goodness, how to choose? I've always said I want to cruise up the west coast (US) to Alaska and then take the train across Canada. But I also want to see Australia and New Zealand. My son just got stationed in Germany, so I actually have a good shot of getting there next year!

  • Nancy Sue

I would love to travel to Africa. With it's beautiful landscape and wonderful safari animals, it's such a contrast to the upheaval in many of the continent's countries.
