Tuesdays Holy Treasure

Dec 13, 2010 by quiltjane 6 Comments

Left – The Infant of Prague. My father gave me this statue years ago. It took pride of place in his workroom under the house for many years. As the story goes, the infant will never bring you riches but always make sure you have enough to support your family (as per my fathers version).

Middle – This is a beautiful wooden and silver cross taken from the coffin of my great, great grandmother. They would display the cross during the funeral service and then remove it before burial for the family to keep.

Right – I don’t know the story of Mary’s statue but it was given to me after nan passed away, thirty years ago. Mary has always had a special place in the hearts of the women of our family.

All three have special places in my heart and home.
