‘Tis the Season
It’s a heatwave here in Brisbane and the agapanthus is blooming, sun is shining and the air-conditioning is on. Perfect pool and beach weather. This week I will be starting my first of many Christmas lunches with family and friends in two different states. It’s a great time of the year to be with the people you love. Before I embark on my journey, I managed to slip in a few Christmas projects.
These Kanzanshi flower wreaths ( only 6″ wide ) are perfect scrap buster projects. Easy to make and embellish with sequins and and pretty trims. They can hang on your door or tree and make a great gift for friends.
A Madonna and Child paper piecing pattern which is under develop and in testing.
A cute pouch for my travel cup using @kidgiddy and @mossandlotus paper pieced teapot and cup from the #themugclubSAL #themugclub.
Modabakeshop is hosting the Countdown to Christmas sew-a-long. Gift Wrapped Star (6″ x 6″) is my contribution.
So many ideas and not enough time to make them all before Christmas.
Stay tuned. On my return, I will be releasing some simple patterns for pre-cuts as part of my ‘Quick Quilts’ series.

Hi Jane,
We are nearing our shortest day on Vancouver Island, Canada. It’s dark, wet and chilly, but we have our wood stove throwing its warm comfort about, so here I sit with a glass of wine in comfort.
Hope you enjoy your “summer” with a very Merry Christmas.

Brilliant quilt square! WE have agapantha here in the central valley of California. It also gets wicked HOT in the summers.
