The Story of the Stripey Dresden Quilt

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a group of royal quilters. They were a very clever bunch of quilters who delighted in making blocks for others and collectively called themselves the QCA Bee #2 (Quilt Club Australia Bee No 2).
It was Lady Quiltjane of the Kingdom of Brisbane that was to be the selector of a block for March 2012 and sent out a royal proclamation to all the kingdoms of the DownUnder Lands to make this special block. Each Lady of noble birth made a block (or sometimes 2) and sent them by royal carrier pigeon to the Kingdom of Brisbane.

Alas, the blocks lay dormant until the ‘No WIP shall ever be completed’, spell cast by the evil witch had been broken.

The elves (I wish)  and Lady Quiltjane worked day and night to complete the quilt made by Ladies, Bronwyn, Anorina, Waverlee, Kim, Tracey, Phillipa, Janine, McKenna, Jessica, Laura, Kelly, and Sue.

The End.

P.S I forgot to mention that all the background fabrics, backing and applique dots were done with material already in my stash. The design was limited by the yardage on hand.
