The Netball Quilt
How is this for someone’s first quilt? My talented neighbour wanted to make a quilt for her oldest girls netball coach. With some basic tuition from me and Mandy’s amazing natural ability to quilt, the Netball Quilt was born.
Mandy chose a simple log cabin design with appliqué and embroidery using the teams colours. We selected a variety of fabrics from Spotlight and my stash and combined with them a hint of Kaufman Quilters linen in grey and Sketch on Charcoal. The blocks finished at 24″.
I can hardly wait to see the look on the coaches face when she receives this on Saturday night.

It was such fun to assist Mandy make this quilt, especially the fact that she can quilt with a glass of red wine at hand.
