Pandas and the Lone Ninja Birthday Block
I had to make a birthday block to go into a very special persons birthday quilt so I tried out my new block design called Rapture. Named after the new Pat Bravo fabric Rapture, which I will be using to make a quilt with this block (or a version of this block).
The birthday girl wanted red/turquoise/grey and an optional splash of orange in any design or sized block. This is how it looks so far – design wall of birthday blocks.
This is a 10″ version of the block and because of the small pieces was difficult to match points so don’t look too closely. Later in the month, I will be posting a tutorial for a larger block which can be paper pieced or machined pieced. It uses the EZ rulers, fat cats and easy three 60 degree and a circle template. For the 10″ version I used a little dresden wedge made by Jenna Appleton.
