National Sew a Jelly Roll Day 2022 – Free pattern

It’s Saturday 17th September 2022 and you know what that means …… it’s National Sew a Jelly Roll Day!

Crash your stash and select your favourite Jelly Roll to make one of the free Jelly roll patterns found at Moda Free Patterns (tomorrow US time) or check with your local fabric store.

To join in the fun this year, I have created a very quick and easy pattern called Two for One. With one Jelly Roll and some solids, you can make 2 – crib sized baby quilts measuring 40.5″ x 49.5″, for a gift or a charity project.

Make one fabric per row or mix it up for a fun, scrappy version.

Finished quilt size: 40.5″ x 49.5″

Requirements (for 2 quilts)

1 – Jelly Roll (40 strips – 2.5″ x width of fabric)
1/2 yard of solid or tone-on-tone for the squares or 100 squares – 2.5″ x 2.5″
Binding: 3/4 yard
Backing: 1.5 yards x width of fabric for each quilt. (if you are sending to a longarm quilter, I recommend adding *” to width and at least 10″ to length)
Batting: 46″ x 56″ for each quilt
