A pinch and punch for the first day of the month ….. Aurifil Designer Block

This was a little game we played growing up. The first day of the month yielded a race to see you could sneak in the ‘pinch and punch’. Mind you it was a very gentle pinch and punch.  The first day of the month also heralds the release of Pat Sloan’s globetrotter BOM and the Aurifil Designer block for 2014.  If you follow Pat on her FB page – Quilt Along with Pat Sloan, you will be able to access the block patterns or links to the block patterns and see everyones blocks they are making.
This month we visit Paris. One of my favourite cities in the world.
Michele Foster from the quilting gallery is the Aurifil Designer for August. Michele brings together the quilting community with her wonderful website, designs and many fantastic tips and tricks to help us along on our quilting journeys.
Michele has designed a very cute button block. You can read the story behind the block and download the pattern from here. Wouldn’t this block make a fantastic quilt!

Don’t forget to add your finished blocks to the official Aurifil Flickr Group. There are some great Aurifil thread prizes to be won each month.
Next month’s designer is
If you have missed any of the blocks they can be found on the Auribuzz site.
