Fat Quarter Baby – Matthew
I am so excited about this book. Fat Quarter Shop are proud to present their first ever quilt patterns for baby all wrapped up in a book called Fat Quarter Baby. Twenty delightful patterns for boys and girls. Butterflies and bows, Guitars and Teddy Bears, Tiaras and Airplanes, just to name a few.
The promotional video can be seen here showing snippets of all 20 quilts.
Sewing along in the blog hop will be:
I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s quilts.
Today I am presenting ‘Matthew’.
Selecting a combination of Carolyn Friedlander, Pat Sloan (The Sweet Life), Jessica Hogarth (Velocity) and Timeless Treasures lime sketch I created a city of tumbling blocks. One of the design features I love about this pattern is that it has no Y seams. The blocks can be easily pieced in no time.
Beautifully photographed by Ashley with help from the children. I can see two budding artists in the making. L added the Panda mini I gave to her as a gift.
Backed in Moda Hullabaloo fabric by Urban Chiks.
Quilted with Aurifil 2026 50wt.
‘Matthew’ is now at home with Ashley’s baby boy.

Love the 3D effect of this one and the pattern is great for a boy or girl. Might have to add this book to our guild library
