My Day with Tracey
I spent the most wonderful Day with Tracey R from Western Australia. Tracey is in Queensland visiting her father and it was the perfect opportunity for Tracey and I to spend a day sewing together. Tracey is a Kate Spain fan, so we decided to use a charm pack of Honey Honey, Bella Solid 9900-174 America Blue and Kate’s free Bee pattern to make a bolster cushion.
I drew up the bee in EQ7 to fit a 10 1/2″ unfinished paper pieced block.
I Quilted it with a honeycomb design in deep lilac thread and voila, accompanied by a pieced back will be made into an envelope style bolster cushion.
Who could not love the Joel Dewberry Heirloom bag that Tracey brought at the markets. It almost did not leave with her.
Tracey also brought her Crafsy BOM to show me. Isn’t it gorgeous. The photo does not do justice to the colours and designs of the fabric. Tracey also left me with her daughter’s single bed quilt to long arm.
Thank you Tracey for a wonderful day. It is so exciting to finally meet you. I love the hand made soaps (made by Tracey’s mum) and the hand cream. The beautiful scents are wafting through my quilt room.
I hope it is not too long until we can meet up again.
