Modern Mini Challenge – Architexture of TangledZen
It’s the Modern Mini Challenge month and Jennifer is hosting once again this great event. Lots of wonderful prizes to be won by entering your mini quilt, pillow, mug rug, table topper …….
This year I am entering my Pillow made with Mini Charm Squares of Architexture by Carolyn Friedlander on a Moda Bella White background.
I joined all the mini charms and made a city skyline which I raw edge appliqued to the background.
The fun part was mindlessly doodling with my Pentel Fabric Gel Pen all over the background and then quilting heavily in about 10 different threads colours, weights and mediums all over the piece.
The finished size is 20″ and was made into a pillow/cushion backed with a Kaufman Quilters Linen in Chartreuse.
Hurry. Entries to the linky party close 16th June at 5PM.

I love this Jane! You have fantastic ideas – very creative. I also love the text fabric in the background of the last photo (I was first introduced to it on RachealDaisy's blog).

This is very interesting to look at. It even caught my husband's eye as he was walking by my computer and he said "ooo, scroll up a bit" and had a good look. Good job!

I really like the idea of trying something new and I agree that the mini-quilt challenge is a perfect opportunity to do so. To have the city skyline is a really unique and fun idea, I had not seen this concept in quilting before. This is a great example of an entry for this challenge.
