It’s all about Love
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and that means quilters everywhere will be sharing the love. It’s school cricket on Saturday’s for the next 10 weeks so I’m planning small projects to fill in the hours. The pillow finishes at 18″ x 18″ and is made using Basic Grey Grunge (30150-101 White Paper) and selection of pink prints from the Regent Street Lawns 2016 collection. I made an outline of a feathered heart in a hot pink 40wt thread and quilted a bow and the word love in centre. The feathers are filled with hand turned appliqued pieces to add some dimension. I am very happy with my little pillow of Love which will now adorn my lounge to celebrate the month of February.
Do you have a favourite Valentines project to decorate your house?

What a pretty pillow. I keep wanting to make a valentine project, but I never do find the time. Nothing indicates this year will be different. But I can still love the projects posted online 🙂

This is such a sweet pillow! With the mini floral patterned fabric, it’s just perfectly adorable! I’d be tempted on keeping this out all year long!

No pattern for this one. Sometimes I just make something because it makes me happy.

I love your feathered heart… yes I made Valentine placemats years ago, for me & my husband, and every since have tried to make us something to put out along with the original placemats… one reason is for Valentine’s Day the other is because in 1981, 36 years ago me & my husband were married!! Today is our anniversary!
