Fantasia
Sara Lawson is releasing a new collection for Art Gallery Fabrics called Fantasia. A whimsical collection of unicorns, mushrooms, stripes and geometric prints in a warm palette of pinks, oranges, mustards, teal and a hint of mulberry.
I am very honoured to receive a F8 of each of the cotton prints in the collection so I decided to make a
24″x 24″ pillow cover. I love large pillow on my lounges. They are like cuddling a mini quilt.
Using 15 of the 18 prints and a self designed paper pieced pattern, I created a 16 block pillow top, bound backed in pure elements.
The pillow is quilted back and front with Aurifil 2805 50wt cotton in a geometric pattern by Karlee Porter.
Thank you Sara for giving me the opportunity to create something wonderful with your fabrics. I really love the mix of colours.
If you would like to make your own Fantasia project using the Fantasia paper pieced block, you can purchase it from my little e-shop.
The pattern contains the block templates, outline to colour your own project and cutting instructions for an individual block.
Use multiples of 4 blocks to make any size project.
