Coyote Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hawthorne threads collection Coyote is a beautiful collection of mint greens, peach, mustard, greys floating in a background of crisp white. Printed in house, this collection of intricately sketched elements from a trip to Death Valley, combines the wild splendour of fauna and flora from the region.
I asked for prints that could be fussy cut to make a large pillow but as I started cutting into the fabric my design expanded and I ended up making a small quilt. I could have kept going but was limited by the amount of fabric I had. The setting triangles are Manchester dyed yarn in Taupe.

It was one of those quilt designs on the go. Starting with a hexagon, progressing to a octagon and finishing with a rectangle. I made use of the Jaybird rulers I had on hand to create these shapes.

Quilted in a simple design using Aurifil 2312 50wt cotton. Backed with my favourite IKEA print.
The in house prints from hawthorne threads a printed on a premium quality cotton. It sews and quilts beautifully, with a soft touch and drape. In addition to 32 prints, Hawthorne threads have printed a backing panel 56″ x 72″ to complete your quilted masterpiece.
