Aurifil Designer Mini – September
I can hardly wait until mid month to see what fabulous mini the 2015 Aurifil Designers have made. This months mini is designed by Valori Wells. A modern, improv piece made called ‘Indigo Crossing’. The naive stitching completes the design. I love the fabrics that Valori has used in this mini.
Using my stash of Hawthorne threads Etched and Bengal fabrics, I re-created my own version of the block working the geometric prints of the fabric and selvages into the block. The selvages of the Hawthorne threads in house prints are so cute. They read, ” From Two Love Birds who love fabric”. Aw.
