Hexagons always distract me

I bought some packs of the new Moda Hexagons – Honeycombs – from the Fat Quarter Shop in Robins Egg, Brown and Natural. I had two spare Odds and Ends charm packs so I decided to start a baby quilt for a friend this weekend.
Using the traditional grandma’s garden layout, I alternated the path colours in the 3 solids and added an appliquéd petal to each flower (set of 6 hexagons). I have three more flowers and paths to make and then machine sew them together.
Do you like the EPP ( English Paper Piecing )  method of making hexagon quilts, bags and runners or do you prefer to machine sew?
