Be Still my Heart – Valentine FREE block

Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us so to share the love I have written a free pattern for a 16″ block. You can make this block using solids, your favourite collection or go for a completely scrappy look.

My 16″ block was made into a pillow. To make my block, I used a few fat quarters of Tilda fabrics, including their beautiful weaves and natural coloured linen for the background. I couldn’t find a trim that matched the colouring in my overflowing draw of trims and ribbons, so I crocheted a simple trim using Perle cotton. The hand quilting was done with a selection of Auriful 12wt threads.
