APQ Quilt-a-long ‘Tone it Down’ Finish

Ta Da! Finally bound and photographed (in 36C weather with no chance of rain), my Tone it Down Burgoyne Surrounded quilt by Lissa Alexander as part of the American Patchwork and Quilting QAL.
This has been a wonderful QAL and I must say I have enjoyed every minute of making this quilt and sharing in everyone’s interpretations of the quilt. You can search the Flickr group or use #APQQuiltalong to search IG, FB and twitter to see these quilts.
My version of the quilt was a little different (I am a bit of a rebel. Maybe it is the convict in my blood – Yes, I have a convict  in the family tree). It was sashless and I changes the pattern of the block by placing the contrasting fabrics in different positions within the block.
This is the original block.
This is my version of the block. Same piecing but different colour placement.
Whilst my quilt has a border, I have left it sashless once again to create a different look. However you wish to make this quilt, it is one that should be made by everyone as some stage in their quilting journey.
Thank you Lissa and APQ for giving me the opportunity to take part in your first QAL.
