Kim is hosting ‘My favourite Block QAL‘ over at Persimondreams. From January 15th – April 25th, guests will be presenting 20 blocks to be made into a sampler quilt.

The block I will share with you today is a paper pieced block called Pointy, Pointy Little Star. Aptly named because when you join 4 blocks together they make a repeating star pattern.
The paper piecing templates for both the 6″ and 12″ blocks can be found here:
Always remember when downloading or printing files to check they are at the correct scale before printing. These templates have a 1 inch registration line on each sheet for you to measure for accuracy.
Hint: Join Section B to C and then add Section A. When joining Section A, you will be required to pivot slightly at the seam. Starting at the point and sewing out in either direction can make it easier.
Add Sections F and D to ABC and then Section E. 
N.B: The 6″ version does not have a section F. It is part of Section A
